Is Your Occupation on Canada’s In-Demand List?

Your skills could open the door to new opportunities in Canada. Demand differs by occupation, region and employer. Construction trades, healthcare, transportation, engineering and other occupations may present opportunities, but no single list guarantees employment or immigration eligibility.

How to check demand

Use Job Bank Labour Market Information to research outlooks and wages by occupation and location. Search Job Bank vacancies and confirm whether an employer is considering international applicants. Check the exact National Occupational Classification (NOC) for your duties, not just your job title.

What immigration pathways may apply?

Depending on your individual facts, relevant pathways may include Express Entry, provincial nominee programs or employer-supported work permits. Provincial demand and selection criteria change, and an advertised vacancy is not proof of a positive LMIA or a valid job offer for immigration purposes.

Why RCIC review matters

An incorrect NOC, unsupported experience claim or misunderstanding of work authorization may jeopardize an application. A regulated consultant can help assess requirements and document evidence. If problems or refusals arise, remedies depend on the decision and deadlines.
