CMS Jobs, Wages & Immigration Reference Centre
Centre de référence CMS — professions, salaires et immigration
Updated October 30, 2026 · Effective November 3, 2026 for new Express Entry rules. This in-site reference is for clients and Bibi’s preliminary professional review. An NOC code must match actual job duties, not only the job title.
Breaking News | Dernières nouvelles
Express Entry introduces a Labour Market Integration factor. Qualifying high-wage job offers may attract 100, 70 or 50 points; eligible Canadian experience may attract additional points. Job-offer points and Canadian-experience points are alternative calculations, not additive. The maximum is 150 without an accompanying spouse or 140 with one. LMIA requirements are removed for specified Express Entry purposes only, not universally for temporary work permits.

Temporary Foreign Worker Program — high- and low-wage LMIA streams
Different test: The TFWP high/low wage distinction compares the offered hourly wage to the threshold for the province or territory. At or above the threshold is the high-wage stream; below is the low-wage stream. It does not mean the NOC is in the Express Entry high-wage list. Prevailing wage and other program requirements still apply.
Pour l’EIMT, la distinction salaire élevé / bas salaire dépend du salaire horaire offert et du seuil provincial ou territorial; elle est différente de la liste Entrée express.
| Province / Territory | Hourly threshold from July 17, 2026 (CAD) |
|---|---|
| Alberta | $37.50 |
| British Columbia | $38.40 |
| Manitoba | $31.33 |
| New Brunswick | $31.73 |
| Newfoundland and Labrador | $33.60 |
| Northwest Territories | $48.00 |
| Nova Scotia | $31.96 |
| Nunavut | $45.00 |
| Ontario | $36.92 |
| Prince Edward Island | $31.20 |
| Quebec | $36.00 |
| Saskatchewan | $34.62 |
| Yukon | $45.60 |
